Southern crowned 22 champions during the 2011 Combo Doubles
Southern Section Championships presented by MINI.
Louisiana led
the section’s nine states with five champions and four
finalists. North Carolina and South Carolina had three champions
and three finalists. Tennessee had three champions and two
finalists. Three cities had two champions: Charlotte, N.C.;
Mandeville/Covington, La. and Memphis, Tenn.

Tornado’s Fury
Destroys Player’s House

On Friday Ed Coffey’s house was destroyed by one
of the many tornados that tore through the South and Midwest. But, he
didn’t worry, didn’t leave Mobile and played tennis with his Tennessee
(A) team the won the Senior Men’s 6.5 championship Sunday.

on your team’s advancement to the 2011 Combo Doubles Southern
Section Championships in Mobile, AL!
Our Captain's meeting is
Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Marriott on Airport Blvd. We will open
registration at 5:00 p.m. and our meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Adults
and senior will play on hard courts beginning Friday morning, March
2, 2012, with the finals on Sunday, March 4, 2012 or Monday, March
5, 2012. Super Seniors
will play on soft courts.
